The next steps in your career
After graduating from your travel program, CITC recommends that you write the Knowledge Exam. National exams take place each month or may be offered on a demand basis if a travel program is endorsed. Passing the exam entitles you to receive an Occupational Knowledge Certificate, which is nationally recognized and proves your proficiency level to potential employers.
After passing the Knowledge Examination or upon gaining employment in the travel industry, you should register in the Travel Counsellor Certification Program. This allows you to work toward your CTC – Certified Travel Counsellor designation.
A Management Level Certification Program leading to designation as a CTM – Certified Travel Manager is also available at a later date.
