Endorsed Programs

Effective January 2009, CITC offers four levels of Endorsement:

  • Two Star....
  • Three Star..
  • Four Star...
  • Five Star....

Similar to hotel star rating systems, a travel program receives stars based on the number of inclusions it offers, for example:  travel services specific curriculum hours, field placement, live GDS training.

If a travel program does not meet all the criteria for Full Endorsement then Provisional Endorsement may be granted for a maximum of two years, while they works towards satisfying the additional criteria.

TPI Robertson Travel is a very valuable asset to the travel program at Robertson College.  The students are benefiting in many ways.  They are able to research and respond to live bookings using the agent websites for all suppliers and have hands on training in many programs such as live Sabre, Sabre Vacations, Sabre Cruise Vacations, Clietn Base Browser and Marketing Programs.  All students also assist in creating marketing materials as well as research and create material for the TPI Robertson distribution of brochures for the agency.

This program provides in-depth training in world geography, tour booking procedures, airline reservation and ticketing procedures, and agency operations. Today's travel counsellor must be aware of the changing world, eager to learn and flexible enough to market an ever-changing product.
