About the author
Marc Mancini is one of the travel industry's best known speakers, educators and consultants. It's estimated that nearly 300,000 travel professionals worldwide have benefited from training programs that he has designed or delivered.
He and his firm's associates are the creative force behind three highly praised travel certification programs: those of CLIA, AAA/CAA and CrossSphere (formerly the NTA).
Dr. Mancini has designed or given seminars for virtually every travel association, as well as a number of tourist offices, including the Canadian Tourism Commission. He has authored or produced 12 books, 24 videos, three CD-ROMs, two Web sites and over two hundred articles. His works have been syndicated by both the L.A. Times and Prodigy.
Dr. Mancini has an especially deep knowledge of Canada. His grandparents were Canadian-born and he himself attended French-English bilingual schools until Grade 13.
Currently a Professor of Travel at West Los Angeles College, Dr. Mancini has appeared on CNN, ABC's Good Morning America and Showtime. He was named "Educator of the Year" by the International Society of Travel and Tourism Educators.
