Leadership and Staff
Strategic direction is provided by The CITC National Board , which consists of Seven Regional Chairs, representing the Regions of British Columbia & Yukon, Alberta and the Northwest Territories , Saskatchewan , Manitoba and Nunavut , Ontario , Quebec and Atlantic. Each Region is also represented by Regional Councils , comprised of five members.
The President and Chief Operating Officer sits on the National Board as does the National Certification Manager and a representative of ACTA.
CITC's head office staff, located in Toronto, Ontario, look after membership development, seminars, events, publications, distance learning programs, in-house training, consumer information, the BC Insurance program and all the administrative aspects of the Institute.
CITC's Education Standards Division manages the national certification
programs, program endorsements, approved training, PQEs, the Core Curriculum,
and works with the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC)
to develop the Occupational Standards for travel counselling.
CITC's National Certification Manager sits on the CTHRC Board of Directors.
